Shinya’s always been my favourite Deg member to watch. He’s always going all apeshit back there.

There’s a pink cherry tree right outside my parents’ house that blooms beautiful year after year. It’s my favourite tree in the whole world.

Day and Night in New York City

When I was younger, the grandmother living next door spent countless hours gardening and planting flowers around her house. When she moved away a few years ago, the new neighbours promptly trashed all of her work. They neglected the lawn and cut down trees and bushes. Things break and they don’t bother fixing them.
I was thrilled to see a lone tulip blooming next to my childhood home this year. Some of my old neighbour’s painstaking work lives on, despite our neglectful neighbours.

It’s the day before an ultra long weekend.  Pfft.  Writing within the lines is for serious business weekdays only.

I love Luna Sea.  Don’t get me wrong.  Nothing but respect.  But, like most Japanese bands that were once legendary, their new material pales in comparison.

the ONE - crash to create - has everything that makes Luna Sea. Clean rhythm guitar. Flowery Sugizo guitar. Easy listenin’ kinda stuff.

But it’s just.  So.  Bland. I can’t even find anything negatively noteworthy to say about it.

The song wore out its welcome within the first five minutes. I had to force myself to pay attention to stop it from becoming background music while I worked.  After the first listen, I don’t think I’d be able to hum any part of it back.

Maybe it’ll grow on me, but if history is any indicator, it likely won’t.  I’ll give it another spin, but so far, there is nothing special to note about the song, good or bad, other than the fact that it took up a full 22.5 minutes of my life.
